75 RV sites in the Rio Grande Campground and the sites in the Basin and Cottonwood Campgrounds do not have water or electrical hookup, but do usually have a BBQ Grill. Reservations for these sites can be made by calling 877-444-6777.

The campgrounds have water available and have lighted restrooms but do not have showers. The campgrounds are self registration and have campground hosts during the busier seasons. Campground fees are deposited in an envelope drop located at the entrance to each camping area.

The number of campsites at each campground is as follows:

Basin Campground: 63

Cottonwood Campground: 31

Rio Grande Village Campground: 100

There are 116 back-country "zone" campsites and roadside campsites on the primitive roads in the park. These sites do require a free special permit available at Panther Junction Headquarters.

Please contact the Park Service at 432-477-2251 for more information.
