The only lodging in the park, Chisos Mountains Lodge, is located high in the scenic Chisos Mountains and offers comfortable overnight lodging all year long. All 72 rooms, located in non-smoking buildings, are conveniently located near food service, a convenience store, gift shop, trail heads and other guest services.

The laid back atmosphere allows guests to enjoy life at a slower pace, yet abound in outdoor fun. Whether it's hiking the Window Trail, rafting the Rio Grande or horseback riding, Chisos Mountains Lodge is a perfect home base for your Big Bend escape!

Most of the 38 rooms have two beds and some rooms are equipped with handicap accessible facilities. Most rooms have stairs, including rooms on the first floor.

Rio Grande Motel Rooms

20 Motel-type units are available for guest lodging. The rooms have a shared breezeway, and some have stairs.

Emory Peak Lodge Rooms

Four of the Lodge rooms have one double and one single bed. These four rooms are located on the lower level with only about six steps.
The other four Lodge rooms feature one king bed and have a lot of steps (30) leading up to them.

These 5 stone cottages feature stone floors and are equipped with three double beds. Cottages 101-103 are freestanding while cottages 104 and 105 are part of a duplex. Pets are only allowed in cottages 101-103. The cottages can be reserved by cottages number online.

Lodging Terms & Conditions
• Rates are based on double occupancy and are subject to availability.
• Rates include a utility pass-through surcharge and $1 donation to support the seasonal interpretative ranger programs at Big Bend National Park.
•Children 12 and under stay free. There is an $11 fee per night for each additional adult.
•Rollaway fee is $11.00.
•Cribs available at no additional cost.
•Pets are permitted, for a fee, in the free Standing Roosevelt Stone Cottages. Pets cannot be left unattended in the room or in a closed vehicle, and are not allowed on the trails.

Deposit & Acceptable Methods of Payment
An advance deposit equal to the first night's stay is required to hold a reservation. Payment of remainder of balance is due at time of check out. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Cash. Checks are not accepted.

Cancellation Policy
A 72 hour cancellation notice is required to receive refund of the deposit. If cancellations are received after 4:00pm, less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival day, the deposit will be forfeited.

Check-in/Check-out
The check-in time is guaranteed for 4:00pm. Check-out time is 11:00am. No refunds will be given for early check-out. A $10.00 fee will be added for each hour of late departure between 11:30am and 1:30pm. Departures after 1:30pm will be charged an additional night's lodging.

Rates are subject to final approval by the National Park Service (NPS). Should the final rate approved by NPS be higher than your confirmed rate, your confirmed rate will take precedence and be honored. Should the final approved rate be less than your confirmed rate, your rate will be adjusted down to the approved rate.
