Explore Big Bend National Park and stay with us at Chisos Mountains Lodge, the only lodging within the national park. After a day filled with activities, you'll come back to a getaway with scenic views as the lodge is nestled in nature.

We have a variety of lodging options for our guests from our hotel and motel to our popular Roosevelt Stone Cottages. All 72 rooms are non-smoking and located near our on-site dining, stores and visitor center. As the only lodging in the park, you can start your day right away with fun activities and exploring.

Aligning with the park's natural state and preserving the lodge's uniquely tranquil environment, our rooms do not have televisions or phones. The Basin has limited cell-phone coverage. Free Wi-Fi is available at our gift shop, patio and Basin Visitor Center. We encourage all our guests to unplug and immerse themselves in the beauty of the Big Bend National Park.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

Check-In: 4:00pm Central Time. License Plate information is required at Check-in.

Check-Out: 11:00am Central Time. Late checkouts must be requested during check-in at the front desk and are subject to availability. Any late checkouts past 2 pm Central time are subject to a charge equal to a single night’s stay.

Deposit and Payment Policies

An advance deposit equal to the first night's stay is required to hold a reservation. Payment of the remainder of the balance is due at the time of check-in.

Checks are not accepted.

Extra Person Policy

All room rates are based on double occupancy. An additional person charge of $11 applies per extra person.

Cancellation Policy

A 72-hour cancellation or modification/change notice is required to receive a refund of the deposit. The full deposit will be forfeited if Cancellations or modifications/changes are made less than 72 hours before 4:00 PM local time on arrival date. Deposit/Cancellation Policy 10+ Nights: Any 10+ night stay will require a deposit totaling two nights' stay to confirm the reservation. If the reservation is canceled or the stay is reduced outside 72 hours before arrival, one night's stay will be forfeited. The full deposit is forfeited if the cancellation is within 72 hours before arrival.

Smoking Policy

All rooms are non-smoking, including balconies and porches. All indoor public facilities are non-smoking.

Pet Policy

Pets are only permitted in Roosevelt Stone Cottages (101-103). Pets are not permitted in most of our accommodations. Pets are not to be left unattended in the room, closed in a vehicle, or on hiking trails.

Power Outages

Due to the remote location of Big Bend National Park in Brewster County, occasional power outages can occur because of county-wide issues that are beyond our control. Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring that our guests and visitors remain comfortable and safe. Please note that refunds will not be issued due to power outages.
